Summary
Moores Furniture Group in Yorkshire are recruiting for an Apprentice Wood Machining Assistant. The successful candidate will work towards their Level 2 Furniture Occupations which will take approximately 24 months to complete.
Duties:
• Carry out regular machine checks at the start of each shift and report any problems to the Team Leader
• Operate machinery in accordance with safety procedures
• Check product requirements and materials and set up machinery
• Ensure machine running correct;y and undertake quality checks, correcting any problems if practicable, advising the Team Leader
• Carry out regular cleaning of machinery
• Calculate measurements for offsets
• Responsible for handling products and tools carefully
• Ensuring work area is clean, tidy and safe
• Must meet expected speeds of production
Requirements:
• Driving license / Ability to get to work
• Basic numeracy / literacy
• Attention to detail
• Problem solving
• Good timekeeping
Grades:
There are no formal qualifications required.
Hours:
Monday - Thursday 8am-5pm Friday 8am - 1pm 2 x daily paid breaks. Unpaid lunch break, Between 31 and 40 hours per week
