Position: Warehouse Department Trainer
Salary: up to circa £33,447 per annum
Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm - 40 hours per week. However, flexibility across all shifts is required.

Opportunity Overview:
Join Heron Foods as a Warehouse Department Trainer and become a key player in our warehouse training team. The role will be
responsible for delivering the warehouse operative departmental training including MHE and health and safety. You will also coach
and support new starters to ensure achievement of required performance levels.
The role requires the successful candidate to be an RTITB accredited MHE instructor. To have the ability to train employees on all
MHE including, LLOP, PEDOP, Reach Truck and counterbalance.

Role Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the delivery of novice and refresher courses for all MHE in-house training.
* Responsible for the writing and delivery of departmental training with the warehouse including goods in, outbound and picking.
* Provide coaching and support to new starters, including follow up meetings and further training when required to ensure
achievement of pick targets by week 12 of employment.
* Responsible for ensuring all MHE training material is up to date with health and safety regulations.
* Using Microsoft Office, completion of spreadsheets/reports to track new starter performance
* Support internal transfers and recruitment by providing departmental training.
* Supporting the Warehouse Operative Team Leaders and Supervisors with the performance management process by completion of
observations and training
* When not required to train, required to complete warehouse operative tasks across all departments.
What we are looking for:
* The capability to work in varied temperatures, including -25°C chambers, with appropriate PPE provided.
* The flexibility to work across all 3 shifts of the warehouse, when required (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am).
* The ability to work closely and effectively as part of a team.
* The ability to meet performance targets and work to deadlines.
* The ability to develop, motivate and coach colleagues.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
