What you'll do

As an Engagement and Partnerships Manager, you’ll be supporting the bank’s engagement to identify and drive relationships including the development of the business through experimentation and innovation. You’ll also be working collaboratively with the internal team and stakeholders across the bank to identify and understand prioritised focus areas for exploration.

Day-to-day, you’ll be:

  • Developing and coordinating innovation and partnership projects and activities across the bank
  • Establishing and understanding the bank’s presence externally and identifying external opportunities that may exist in collaboration with other teams and programs
  • Identifying, valuing and prioritising opportunities by leading individual partner negotiations on behalf of the bank through to deal closure in compliance with policy, taking support and direction from the Engagement and Partnerships Lead or Manager
  • Managing relevant stakeholder relationships across the bank ensuring that all activities have robust sponsorship and alignment through to handover into the core business
  • Representing innovation projects at any relevant governance committees through any required governance processes

The skills you'll need

To excel in this role, you’ll have the ability to collaboratively prioritise and incubate individual ideas and opportunities based on relevant technology trends in financial services.

You’ll also need:

  • Experience of delivering project work through multiple phases
  • Experience of contributing to business case development and value driver analysis
  • An understanding of the external innovation landscape and impact on customers
  • The ability to initiate and manage commercial negotiations
  • An understanding of financial services strategies
  • The ability to take concepts forward to conclusion with relevant support and direction
