Your new company
Hays Social Care are working with a client in Belfast City Centre, who make it their focus to improve the quality of life of each of their clients through compassionate support and care. Their aim is to have every individual living an independent life and to help each person see their potential.


Your new role
As part of a team of the night time Support Work team, you will provide person-centred support for clients based on their individual needs in a relatively low threshold environment. The support given, will be a mixture of signposting, benefit and housing applications and appropriate healthcare services. You will actively promote the development of each individual using a holistic approach which demonstrates an understanding of their personal, physical, emotion and developmental needs.


What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this position you will need to be a team player who is open to night time shift cover, have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Health and Social care or have at least 6 months relevant experience, excellent team working skills, effective communication skills to deal with vulnerable service users and liaise with internal and external agencies, understanding of risks involved in the setting, ability to manage challenging individuals and situations. Knowledge of homelessness, mental health or addiction and a knowledge of welfare and housing benefits would be advantageous.
