As one of the UK’s leading charities providing essential specialist equipment to disabled and terminally ill children, Newlife is
dedicated to making life better - for the families we serve, and for the people who help us to make that happen. Through grants
and emergency equipment loans, we ensure children get the vital equipment they need, when they need it, while our free nurse
helpline offers crucial support and information – as well as a listening ear. Our campaigns help to give disabled children and
their families a voice, even being instrumental in changing laws to benefit the families we serve. And we support adults with
additional needs with volunteering and employment opportunities, providing a means for career development.




The Opportunity:




This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supervisor / Sales Assistant looking for their next progression, to make a real
difference.




We are not like any other charity. All stock in our stores is new and donated by retailers, allowing us to create a heaven for
bargain hunters and savvy fashionista shoppers who want designer and high street products at discount prices.




The Senior Sales Assistant role in Newlife is unique, it allows you to create the extraordinary, by driving sales, being a
champion of great customer service and being a critical link between the Sales team and the Store / Deputy Store Manager to in
turn generate money to support Disabled Children and their families. No two days are the same and due to the nature of the
business, the product type can quickly change so you have to be a fast thinker and swift on your feet to change the layout and
merchandising to drive sales.

modelling the behaviours at all times. We expect the Senior Sales Assistant to take support driving a positive culture in their
store. You will be motivated by driving customer service, achieving sales targets and supporting the store team. In return, we can

What we are looking for:




You must be able to deliver operational excellence and put the customer at the centre of everything.




You will need to have previous retail experience and be able to work alongside and operate effectively with the both Store
Manager, Deputy Store Manager and store team. You will maximise retail sales and profit through the effective day to day coaching
and support of a sales team that will be made up of both paid employees and volunteers, live and breathe KPI’s, use your creative
skills and imagination to merchandise the product to a high standard, ensuring the delivery of excellent customer service.




There will also be key holder responsibility with this role.
