Electrical Assembly Operator
Bampton - outskirts of Tiverton, EX16
Full time hours
Temporary to Permanent
Shifts: 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm
Pay rate: £12.00 per hour
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of their client to offer this fantastic opportunity to join a successful team with excellent rates of pay and career progression for the right candidate.
Key Duties:
* Assembly of electrical components using written work instructions
* Work includes soldering parts together
* The assembler is required to use machinery to cut extrusion, drill and tap holes and occasionally undertake some simple milling and turning
* The role includes the testing of product in process and as part of the final inspection measuring voltages, currents and resistance using multi-meters or bespoke test equipment
* Occasionally work is carried out under a magnifying light
* The assembler will use small hand tools
* The assembler will clean and pack some products in preparation for shipment using solvents, air hoses, cardboard and packing tapes
* Work carried out in a production cell with other team members driven by a daily production schedule
Skills required:
* Must be able to read and understand work instructions
* Ability to use small hand tools and have good hand eye co-ordination
* Ability to solder using conventional soldering iron
* Must be able to work well as an individual and as part of the team
* Health and Safety conscience
* Punctual, disciplined and organised
