Location

Qualifications needed:
• Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
• CCT or equivalent
• Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it
• Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it
• Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST

We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist position in the Colchester CAMHS Team, based at Globe House, 6 George Street, Colchester, Essex, CO1 1TP, and the Clacton CAMHS Team, based at 25 West Avenue, Clacton on Sea, Essex, CO15 1EU.
You will join two part-time CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists and a Specialty Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

You will be expected to:
• Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Colchester and Clacton.
• Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team
• Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals
• Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:7, with a 2% of basic salary, Category B on-call supplement.
• Support your peers and team leader and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.
• Work alongside two part-time CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists and a full-time Specialty Doctor.
• Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting, and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.
