Summary
The post-holders are responsible for the overall management of the Childrens Emergency Department and the Paediatric Assessment Unit both clinically and operationally 24 hours a day. The post holder will have experience with shift management and be able to provide high standards of care to critically unwell children and help promote clinical excellence within our team The post holder will provide strong clinical leadership within the units, empowering others in the team to deliver evidence-based care, adhering to national and local policy. Co-ordinating staffing across the Children's Emergency Department and Paediatric Assessment Unit. Work collaboratively with other band 7 senior nurses within paediatrics to develop staff within the service, including staff appraisals and training needs for emergency care. The post holder should have previous experience of clinical leadership in a busy ED environment, have the ability to communicate across all skill sets and levels and can continually adapt to a changing environment
