Summary

Job title: Personal assistant
Location: Bow Street area
Hours of work: 8 hours per week
Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Introduction
A caring, patient and committed personal assistant is required to support our energetic 10 year old daughter with socialisation activities. She has Pathological Demand Avoidance which results in her avoiding anything that is perceived as a demand. Sometimes this can result in anxiety about leaving the house but other times, she will be happy to engage in an activity outside of the home.

The purpose of this role is to help our daughter with her social care needs both in the community and at home. This includes assistance with managing her emotional anxiety. She enjoys activities such as playing games, cooking, going on the trampoline, walking on the beach, cold water dips, watching TV and doing arts and crafts.

Our daughter can take time to warm up and feel comfortable with new people, so she needs someone who is patient, understanding and willing to get to know her. Support will initially involve working with the family to build a relationship and eventually lead to lone working. A flexible approach is a must as PDA is anxiety based. We are flexible over the days and times to be worked. Driver not essential.

We look forward to receiving your application.
