Summary
Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner - Community setting - Children and young adults

£25 085 per annum
Our client is looking for a PBS Practitioner to join their team supporting children and young people on a 1 to 1 basis with the aim to increase the quality of life through using postive behaviour support strategies and interventions. You will be supporting the children/young adults at home but at significant risk of entering specialist residential care.
Good knowledge and understanding of child protection and safeguarding and the increased vulnerability of disabled children and young people.
A key part of this role is to support the children/young person to stay living at home, going to a local school and remain in their community by working in very close partnership with and alongside their, prents, teachers and other professionals to ensure consistent implementation of the the PBS strategies
Knowledge of physical , social and emotional needs of children and young people with learning disabilities and behaviours that challenge and how these can be met.
Knowledge of Neurodevelomental Disabiliies: Autisim, ADHD and an understanding of effective multiagency working
