Summary

Procurement & Demand Planning Manager - Maternity Cover

Permanent - Starting July 2024

Monday to Friday

£42,000 to £52,000 per annum

Acorn by Synergie is currently working with and exciting client who are looking for a Procurement & Demand Planning Manager for Maternity Cover starting July 2024.

The right candidate will be able to establish, manage and develop there purchasing strategy, ensuring great supplier relationship and oversee the supply process & performance from supplier to warehouse.

Managing stock levels and product demands to meet sales forecast and KPI's specified by the business.

The Main Duties & Responsibilities of the role are:

Purchasing

  • Work with the team to deliver a great purchasing strategy for the UK & USA territories
  • Reviews & processes of PO'S
  • Maintain & Place POs for new products
  • Meeting agreed KPI'S

Supplier Management

  • Maintain & Build good relationships with suppliers
  • Evaluates the suppliers by product quality and on time delivery
  • Liaises with agents and suppliers to ensure goods are ready and shipments leave on time
  • Oversees supplier payments
  • Arranges all supplier shipments
  • Arranges consolidations with multiple suppliers when necessary
  • Meeting agreed KPI'S

Supply Logistics

  • Maintain good relationships with shipping companies
  • Communicate and manage monitor inventory and supply needs
  • Ensure the Demand Planner is correctly forecasting the ordering needs of the business based on forecast sales targets, stock levels and lead times in line with KPIs.
  • Create shipment calendar and arrange delivery slots with the warehouse
  • Liaise with Quality Control to ensure quality of procured items and to feedback problems to the supplier when they arise
  • Meeting agreed KPI'S

General

  • Stays current with procurement software as required
  • Arranges training sessions with CS team on new products and technology as new products are developed and introduced into our range

Team Leadership

  • Set clear goals and KPIs, regularly evaluating team performance
  • Provide effective leadership
  • Mentor and develop individuals

  • Familiar with the use of Microsoft office, especially excel
  • able to problem solve
  • Planning and budgeting experience essential
  • Management Skills
  • Have supply chain including shipping both UK & International experience
