Summary

Infrastructure Engineer

Reporting into the Lead Infrastructure Engineer, you will be joining an experienced dedicated team of engineers within our Rail Division, with the opportunity to work on some exciting large-scale projects. You will be required to install & configure solutions and document build, including maintenance procedures.


What you'll do:



  • Perform implementation of Infrastructure designs for customers.

  • Assist the Senior Engineer - Infrastructure in creating test documents using Infrastructure test templates.

  • Support FAT and SAT testing for Infrastructure solutions for customers.

  • Assist the Senior Infrastructure Engineer to produce Infrastructure Process and Procedures for customers/support staff.

  • Assist Senior Infrastructure Engineer to produce automation scripts and processes to for the implementation and testing of infrastructure being built.

  • Perform audits of Infrastructure systems.

  • Develop and test solutions in lab environments.

  • Provide support to wider IT teams when required.

  • Support the Senior Engineer - Infrastructure to develop migrations plans.


Who you are:


The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role. You will have IT infrastructure experience, developed technical standards and be able to provide guidance on technical solutions.


Key Requirements:



  • A good understanding of ITIL & Agile methodologies.

  • Vmware, Hyper-V, AD etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with technical peers, project teams and stakeholders..

  • Approachable persona, being able to work with a variety of engineers and stakeholders.

  • Minimum BEng Degree level of education, or equivalent experience.
