Summary


We have an exciting opportunities for motivated and committed staff nurses to join our dedicated nursing team within the Interventional Radiology Units of MFT.

MFT is part of a leading integrated health, teaching, research and innovation center in Greater Manchester. This is a great opportunity to work in an area without late / night shifts and also no weekend work except oncall when rostered to undertake . Very family friendly flexible working. The post holder will start their IR training in one one of the main sites and will rotate to other sites on a planned rota and also support on call commitments across MFT sites .

Committed to our principle of putting patients first, you will be an RGN with a nursing diploma (or equivalent) and have experience working within a multidisciplinary team in an acute care / cath lab/ theatre environment. In order for us to deliver this high class service, successful candidates will be required to participate in an on-call rota which runs outside of our core hours of 8am-6pm on weekdays and 24 hours during weekends .

We are committed to excellent development and progression opportunities which include the gaining the knowledge and skills required to care for patients during all areas of their journey including admission and pre-procedure preparation, safe administration and monitoring under sedation, undertaking the role of scrub nurse and during their recovery following radiological interventions such as CT guided lung biopsy, vascular angiography, liver biopsy and biliary stenting, to name a few. This begins with a comprehensive induction programme as well as access to a full range of CPD training opportunities . For newly qualified nurses, we offer comprehensive Preceptorship Programme and as a nurse with acute experience, you will be supported to gain the skills required to become an interventional radiology nurse
