Summary

A Vacancy at University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust.

Are you a HCPC Dietitian experienced in nutrition support & would like to support people tube feeding in their own homes? We are keen to promote this secondment opportunity until Dec 2024.

The benefits are abundant, quote from our current post holder who works 3 days in HMS & 2 days in the acute hospital:

“Although I had Gastro experience, I have gained in depth learning around types of tube and the practicalities of their care, which has been invaluable. I’ve gained a better understanding of the role of the HEF dietitian, and the challenges experienced by patients facing the reality of tube feeding at home, understanding how hospital & community teams face different pressures and how we can work together to improve the journey for patients.

I have a huge amount to take back to my team through CPD sessions, including the best course of action to take for different tubes that present to A&E supporting the wider acute team.

I've had a positive response to my split role from other HCPs as I have been a key person to link between acute hospital and community. I have developed closer working relationships with the wider HCP team, notably community nurses which will last far beyond my secondment.”

We support a large caseload currently 730 patients across the full age spectrum. Whilst the admin team are based at Central Health Clinic in Bristol, we cover an area of 500 square miles, from Weston-Super-Mare to Bath and Thornbury, so you must be a driver and have access to a vehicle for work purposes daily. Our super IT infrastructure means we support remote working, so you will not have to travel into the office daily.
You will benefit from excellent wellbeing resources, supervision, and flexible working.

Please ensure you explore the benefits with your manager before applying.
