Summary
Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment have partnered with a global manufacturing and distribution company in their search for a Document Author. This is initially a 6-month placement with the potential to be offered a permanent contract.

Working in collaboration with the Quality Manager, your role will involve extracting detail and information from the company, listening to their policies, procedures and process maps to create Standard Operating Procedure documentation.

Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures, methodologies, and tools to enhance manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.
• Analyse current manufacturing processes and support areas for improvement.
• Utilize improvement i.e. Six Sigma principles and methodologies to streamline operations and optimize resource utilization.
• Develop comprehensive documentation that meets organisational requirements.
• Create a user-friendly library of related documents.
• Work proactively with managers to evaluate current documentation or processes and develop innovative methods for improvement.
