We are looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Greenwich schools, on a full time basis working 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 8am-5pm.



The Maintenance Engineer-Fabric will be working within the Hard FM delivery of the contract, to provide an effective and compliant delivery of hard FM
fabric maintenance services to schools within the Greenwich Schools contract. They will liaise regularly with the Engineering Team Leader and Facilities Manager to
ensure that work being carried out fully meets their requirements.



Key responsibilities:

Carry out maintenance inspection and repairs to various types of building fabric elements on site, at Greenwich school where necessary, and within their range of qualifications, levels of competence, training and experience.
Give support to a Second School contract for Tower Hamlets Schools covering when required for staff sickness, Annual leave and Operational requirements.
Deal effectively and safely with breakdowns and damage to assets etc. within their range of qualifications, levels of competence, training and experience as required and by out of hours response where necessary.
Ensure that all reactive and maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard within the contracted SLA’s
Produce clear and concise written reports in a timely manner.
Diagnosing faults on all building fabric elements such as roofing, drainage and rainwater
and rectifying where necessary and within their range of qualifications, levels of
competence, training and experience.


THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Ability to follow instructions,
Reliable and Good timekeeper
Recognised apprenticeship or training in a building or construction related trade + 5 years experience in a similar role or environment.
Asbestos Training (UKATA or equal)
ACOP L8 Awareness
Fire Risk Assessment Awareness
