We are looking to recruit a Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Greenwich Schools. This is full-time working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to cover a number of schools area for which you will be provided with a company van.



The Purpose of this job role is to work with the Hard Service’s team to ensure that the M&E Facilities Management service agreement undertaken by G4S for their Client (Greenwich Schools PFI) is of the standards required and expected as outlined within the contract terms. To assist the SSMT in providing a high level of expertise within the contract at Greenwich, Adherence to company policy and procedures and Health & Safety requirements.



Key Responsibilities will include:

To assist in the delivery of the maintenance service in line with the contracted agreement and to ensure the delivery of service is undertaken within the allocated timescales and budgetary targets, working with the hard services manager
To support the Hard Service Manager in the delivery of day to day operations of the Greenwich School contract PFI.
To be flexible when required to support Tower Hamlets Schools PFI contract in the event of Staff shortages, cover for sickness and Annual leave.
To work with the Hard Services Manager to ensure that the day to day operation meet’s the contract SLA’s and KPI’s and the periodic auditing of all documentation completed.
carry out PPM’s to all related tasks within competency and skill set, complete, close off within allocated time scales.
To work closely with the Hard Service Manager, to ensure smooth operation of the delivery of the service.
To assist in the monitoring of the WIP (Work In Progress) to ensure job closure, through Concept.
To ensure all M&E Statutory Compliance records are kept and are ready for inspection when requested through periodic auditing
To complete and submit all required data as request by the Hard Services Manager
Assist in the smooth running of the day to day maintenance delivery to site’s allocated.
To maintain a high level of site Health and safety throughout the companies /Clients work place.
To assist in the accident and near miss reporting through Integrator.
To assist in the monitoring of all visitors / contractors whilst under the management of G4S.
Monitoring of site documentation, maintenance records, and logs ensuring all scheduled Plan Preventative Maintenance is carried out as scheduled
Advising SSMT on monthly report covering Statutory requirements and activities within the period to the Administrative Assistant
To review all maintenance breakdowns and assist/advise in the obtaining of quotations to rectify / repair works when requested.




THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Essential Criteria:

NVQ/ City & Guilds or equivalent within the building/maintenance industry with regards to Electrical Maintenance.
Must have the BS7671 18th Edition wiring regulations.
Must have a good understanding of the electrical wiring of commercial boilers, Pressurization systems, HVAC.
Have 5 years experience within the building/maintenance industry.

Desirable Criteria:



Experience within PFI school contracts
Previous experience in a similar role.
Ability to use Chrome, Google and email
Legionella Awareness.

Asbestos awareness.
