Summary

Technical Delivery Manager (Primary Care Squad)

Location: Hybrid - London (Barbican) 1 to 2 days per week | Technology | 9 Month Fixed Term Contract | Full-Time |

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

As a Technical Delivery Manager you'll be accountable for the delivery of initiatives inside our flagship Primary Care Squad, joining a passionate and high-performing Technology Delivery function made of four business units and multiple delivery squads. You will lead and co-ordinate a development team on a critical initiative called Single Primary Care Record, where we are aligning multiple Primary service lines into one strategic platform - overseeing the RFP process and then the design, development and build phase. You will work with your product owner to deliver innovative technology solutions within a blended Waterfall & Agile environment. If you're comfortable with transitioning between Jira & Gantt charts, running stand-ups & Risk logs, you'll be at home with us. The squad manages projects related to Primary Care and front-line healthcare applications like Lumeon's Vita or TM2 Physiotherapy Practice Management Software, working on services like Health Assessments, Mental Health and GP Services as Nuffield works on its ambition to "Build a healthier nation".

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead delivery of technology projects, focused on Primary Care applications and services.

  • Manage and mitigate delivery risks and dependencies associated with primary care software.

  • Plan and prioritise tasks for squads working on Primary Care applications.

  • Foster squad collaboration and effective ways of working in a healthcare technology context.

  • Measure success and drive continual improvement in squad performance for healthcare applications.

  • Build and manage stakeholder relationships, including those in healthcare settings.

  • Advocate for the delivery needs of squads working on primary care technology.

  • Support the Head of Delivery and Lead Delivery Manager(s) in developing delivery processes & practices specifically suited for healthcare technology.

Requirements:

  • A high degree of personal integrity. The ability to lead & bring people together & create 'bonding moments' within a fast paced, high pressure project delivery environment.

  • Proven experience in managing technology projects, preferably involving in front-line or primary Healthcare applications.

  • Familiarity with Primary Care Applications, ideally with healthcare booking systems like Lumeon's Vita or TM2 Physiotherapy Practice Management Software.

  • Strong leadership skills and experience in Agile & Waterfall methodologies.

  • Excellent project scoping & governance documentation experience

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
