Locations: L12 West Derby Village L32,33 Kirkby, L34 Prescot and L14 Huyton

“Successful eligible applicants will also be entitled to receive an incentive payment of £1000 (after deductions and will be received in the first pay packet after the individual has been working for the PVI for 12 weeks.). This is part of a Knowsley pilot commencing April 2024 and ending December 2024.”

· Applying for their first role in an early years provider to implement the early years foundation stage

· Returning after a break of at least six months

What you’ll be doing

Plan, create and implement engaging activities, tailored to each of your key children, to encourage their development towards key milestones.
Observing, tracking and reflecting on learning
Develop and maintain strong parent/ carer partnerships
Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding procedures and policies are followed at all times
Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment on a day to day basis

What we’re looking for

Full and Relevant Level 2/3 or above Early Years qualification
Full and relevant teaching qualification to manage and teach in Preschool( additional rate of pay )
We are also looking for un qualified candidates willing to retrain at a childcare qualification level 2/3.
Previous experience working with children but not essential (ideally as a Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nursery Assistant or similar)
Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents
Ability to use a variety of techniques to clearly and successfully communicate with both children and adults
Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children
