Gi Group is excited to be working in partnership with a technical event production company based in Nottingham who supply equipment and expertise for events all over the country. They are looking for an experienced AV Technician to join their team to support the technical production for a range of events. The role itself is broad and varied, and you will work between their busy hire, virtual and live departments.

Key responsibilities for a AV Technician:

  • Preparing equipment prior to the event
  • Delivery and installation of audio-visual equipment
  • Managing the delivery and collection of equipment
  • Supporting the maintenance and servicing of equipment
  • On-site technical management, including rigging and operating
  • Managing freelance staff and crew on site.
  • Client facing role, expected to be able to liase with clients and proactively respond to their needs
  • General warehouse duties
  • Corporate Live event experience essential
  • Experience with video and editing is preferable
  • Networking and streaming experience is preferable


THE CANDIDATE

  • You will hold a full UK driving licence and have a minimum 1 years experience in a similar Audio Visual role.
  • We are a highly customer focused business so the ability to communicate with clients is essential.
  • You will be highly self motivated and a strong team player who is flexible with working hours. A solid understanding of sound, video, lighting, rigging and staging systems is required.
