Summary


An excellent opportunity has arisen at London North West for an enthusiastic Cardiac Physiologist to join our team at the new Ealing CDC, on a full-time permanent basis.

As a Cardiac Physiologist you will be proficient in performing and scanning standard and complex echo pathology and providing reports according to the BSE guidelines, in a safe and welcoming clinical environment for patients.

Applications are invited from patient focused individuals who would like the opportunity to work in a busy department performing highly specialist cardiac diagnostic investigations.

The successful applicant requires a BSc Healthcare Science or BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology level, or equivalent for this post. They require a minimum of two years' experience as a Band 6 Senior Cardiac Physiologist and be highly specialized in skills within Echocardiography. BSE qualification is a necessity.

Experience of cardiac catheterization (diagnostic and PCI's), permanent pacemaker implants and follow up's, physiologist led Exercise tolerance tests and Holter analysis is desirable.


• For the new CDC at Ealing, Band 7 Cardiac physiologists post primarily is to perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with the BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
• Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and action as appropriate.
• Submit reports and archive study images in accordance with contractual requirements and local SOPs. Support GP practices and urgent clinical referrals.
• Responsibility for the day to day management of a section of the Cardiac Diagnostic Services department, ensuring provision of a quality service.
• Train and support other staff.
• To have worked and assisted in the Cath lab, pacing clinics, remote pacing analysis, stress echo's, TOE's and Holter analysis.
