Vehicle Technician Required in Southampton, Hampshire
- Basic Salary up to £40,000
- Independent Local Fast-Fit Company
- Monday - Friday 08:00 - 18:00
Our Client one of the fast-growing independent garages based in Southampton. They have recently expanded their operations to an additional site and as part of their growth plan are requiring a Vehicle Technician for their branch in Southampton.
They provide a wide range of services including budget to premium tyres, MOT arrangement, 3D alignment, brakes, suspension, battery, TPMS, buckle repair, diagnostics, clutch repair/replacement, cam belt, and minor repairs
This is a fantastic role for both experienced Vehicle Mechanics and individuals starting their career within the automotive industry if you are a College Leaver / Post-graduate with qualifications within Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or similar.

Duties of a Vehicle Technician with our Client:
- Conducting routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing vehicle faults using diagnostic equipment
- Carrying out complex vehicle repairs as required
- Conducting vehicle inspections and test drives to assess performance
- Completing accurate service records and documentation
- Keeping up-to-date with vehicle technology advancements and manufacturer updates
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines and company procedures
- Providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional image
What our Client expects of their Vehicle Technician:
- Qualified Vehicle Technician with relevant qualifications (NVQ/City & Guilds)
- Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician in a workshop environment
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of modern vehicle systems and technologies
- Ability to work efficiently and independently
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Full UK driving license is preferred but not essential
