Summary
Vehicle Technician required in Camden, London.
- Basic Salary depending on experience (Between £35,000 - £40,000)
- 8:30am-5:30pm Monday to Friday with Saturday Mornings on rota.
- Access to optional technical training and development including Bosch training courses and courses on electric vehicles.
Due to business expansion our client, an independent automotive service centre situated in the Camden, London area are currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their business.
Key Responsibilities of a Vehicle Technician are:
- Carrying out vehicle maintenance and repair in line with manufacturer standards.
- Testing, diagnosing, and effective troubleshooting.
- Working on electrical and mechanical systems.
- Dealing with unplanned emergency repairs which on occasion may include remote working.
- Inspecting vehicles for wear and tear to test road worthiness.
- Commissioning and decommissioning vehicles, including the installation and removal of specialist Equipment.
Do you need to be qualified in order to be eligible? In short, no!
An IMI/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair would be highly advantageous however our client is very open to considering candidates with no formal qualifications provided they have at least several years "time served" practical experience as a Vehicle Technician and their own tools. You will need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and a good team player. You must be able to produce a high quality of work in a busy workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. Candidates with a valid class 4 MOT testing license would be highly advantageous however this is non-essential.
