YOUR ROLE
The Fitter role is an integral element of the day to day operational functionality delivering objectives and outputs efficiently and effectively within Kuehne+Nagel Technical services.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Commissioning and annual servicing of Fire Extinguisher held in stock
- Servicing a wide variety of equipment; Irons, Lighting units, Power transformers, cabling
- Service and repairs of Kayak trailers
- Safe use of tooling held within the department
- Servicing of heating systems and fuel containers
- Carry out servicing work and reports as required in accordance with the relevant technical publications for: MoD & Loan Pool stocks
- Use trade skills and qualifications in conjunction with current technical documents to carry out servicing and repair to MoD stock
- Responsible for ensuring that serviceable stock is available for MoD customers within time constraints/KPI's
- Work to be planned for priority items on a daily basis overall section work to be planned on a weekly basis
- Complete the daily MHE safety checks (where applicable)
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES
- Experience of working to agreed targets
- PC literate
- MHE licence (where applicable)
- Recognised Engineering Qualifications (City & Guilds, ONC, NVQ2 or equivalent)
- Ability to work individually or as part of a team
- Reliable
- Good Communication skills
- Ability to achieve a high level of accuracy
- High attention to detail
- Effective decision maker
