Summary
CXC are delighted to be working in partnership with a large Builders Merchant in their search for a Sales Assistant to join the team at their Reading branch.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Assistant will be responsible for:
• Dealing with sales enquiries on a face to face and over the telephone basis.
• Represent the branch and assist with the growth of the business working as a team to exceed sales targets
• Ensuring that the needs of the customers are dealt with quickly and efficiently whilst providing a service that ensures that customers return on a regular basis
• Assisting in other roles within the branch including restocking the shop, stock control and assisting in the yard
• Building and maintaining relationships with different types of customers
Requirements:
• Recent experience working on a trade counter or within an internal sales / telephone sales role
• Proactive in approach towards sales
• Outstanding communication skills
• Strong organisational and administration skills
• Ability to build, develop and maintain relationships
• Experience of operating a computer-based sales processing system (Full training for all computer and technical aspects of this role will be provided).
• Full drivers licence
Hours:
• Monday to Friday 07:30 - 17:15
• Alternate Saturdays: 08:00 – 12:00
