Summary

About The Role
We’re looking for a Head of Development and Business Growth who has a passion for delivering an exceptional internal customer experience, driving continuous improvement and living the ethos of Salvation Army Homes.

As a development professional with extensive experience within the Housing sector, you will know that developing our business is key since the landscape for niche and supported housing providers like Salvation Army Homes is a challenging one.

You’ll be a key part of our Senior Management Team and will be responsible for making key business decisions, as well as improving the skills of your team. You’ll use a proactive, future-first approach to ensure that decisions are in-line with both medium and long-term objectives.

This is a hybrid role, working from home with occasional visits to the Bolton office, monthly in person Leadership and team meetings (London and Manchester), and occasional visits to front line services across England.

If you are people focused and can demonstrate our culture of fun, open, ambitious, supportive, collaborative, positive and safe, we would love to hear from you.

Interviews will be held on Thursday 09 May 2024.

About The Candidate
In return for helping to transform lives, we’ll give you access to some great benefits including:

- 26 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) rising to 31 days
- An extra day off on your birthday
- Pension (up to 6% employer matched contributions) with life assurance
- A High Street discount scheme (great savings both on and off-line)
- Healthcare Cashback scheme
- Private medical insurance
- Occupational Sick Pay
- Long service awards from 2.5 years

About The Company
Salvation Army Homes is a national supported housing provider and is dedicated to transforming lives by providing accommodation and support for some of the most vulnerable members of society - mainly people with complex needs and/or experiencing homelessness.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and vulnerable adults and expects all employees and volunteers to share this commitment.

Our aim is to work with individuals to build on their strengths, creating person centred, individualised strategies and plans that transform lives, support recovery and enable positive behaviour. In order to succeed, however, we need the right people in place. Our workforce is one of our greatest assets, but only by recruiting the very best can we continue to deliver comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement services to our residents. That’s where you come in.

As an equal opportunities’ employer, Salvation Army Homes is committed to the equal treatment of all current and prospective employees and does not condone discrimination on the basis of age, disability, sex, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race or ethnicity, religion or belief, gender identity, or marriage and civil partnership. We invite and welcome applications to apply for Salvation Army Homes opportunities without concern of bias or discrimination.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early if we receive sufficient applications for the role. Therefore, if you are interested, please submit your application as early as possible.
