Summary

Cunninghame Housing Association are now looking to recruit a qualified Tradesperson to assist in the delivery of our Direct Works service to our tenants. Cunninghame Housing Association Direct Works undertakes day to day repairs and both planned and cyclical work in Association owned housing and commercial properties. We are looking to recruit the following position: –

POST: PLASTERER
SALARY: £36,733 PER ANNUM
HOURS PER WEEK: MONDAY – THURSDAY 8.30 A.M. – 4.30 P.M. (2:00 P.M. FRIDAY)


Reporting to the Direct Works Manager you will provide an efficient customer focused service, undertaking a range of plasterwork repairs and improvement works for our Direct Works Services clients. The main focus of the job is to carry out plastering work and plastering repairs within the Association’s own stock working primarily on the void and responsive repairs contracts operated by the association as well as plaster repairs following planned maintenance works. The successful candidate must have experience of working on these types of contract and a good prior knowledge in property maintenance including plasterwork, tiling and small render repairs.

The post holder must be self-motivated and confident with an approved trade qualification, using trade skills in a trade discipline with an awareness of current legislative and health and safety working practices. You should display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a small repairs team to ensure successful delivery of a quality small repair, maintenance, and improvement service. (A full driving licence is essential for this post).
