Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting children with learning difficulties?

We are seeking a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to provide invaluable assistance to a student at a primary school in Leeds. This is a long-term position with an immediate start date, offering a competitive daily rate of £85-£100.

As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping a student with learning difficulties access their education and reach their full potential. Your patience, empathy, and commitment will make a significant difference in the life of the student you support.

Key Responsibilities:
- Individualised Support: Provide one-on-one support to a student with learning difficulties, tailoring your assistance to their specific needs.
- Academic Assistance: Assist the student with their academic work, helping them understand and complete assignments.
- Behavioural Support: Implement behaviour management strategies to promote a positive learning environment.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with the school's SENCO, teachers, and parents/guardians.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and report the student's progress, highlighting areas for improvement.
- Personal Care: When required, provide personal care and support to ensure the student's well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) is preferred.
- Understanding of different learning difficulties and strategies to support them.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a nurturing attitude.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to promoting the inclusion and well-being of students with SEN.

Working Hours:

This role follows the school's term-time schedule, with working hours typically aligning with school hours. Some flexibility may be required.
