Summary
A SEND provision in Finchley have asked us to recruit for a innovative Teaching Assistant to work with KS3, KS4 and KS5 pupils starting in April 2024
About the school:
The school always aims to put Children and their families first. The school is a specialist academy for over 200 children and young people with an autism spectrum condition or an identified social, emotional or mental health need aged 11 - 18 years. The school is looking for a motivated and passionate teaching assistant who will be able to provide excellent support to the class teacher daily.
About the role:
The chosen candidate will value children as individuals and offer a personalised approach to learning that combines: the nurturing approach of a Primary School, the range of curriculum and facilities of a Secondary School, and a close working relationship with families.
Class sizes are small with a wide range of curriculum subjects, off site activities and access to a range of therapies. The candidate selected for this role will need to be able to work with pupils to help them feel more relaxed as they go about their school day.
Teaching Assistants must be able to demonstrate that they are keen to learn, have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team and enjoy working with children. You need to be committed to providing the children with exceptional learning and support, in a fun and caring classroom environment and be willing to go that extra mile.
