GCSEs or eqivalent (compusory) A Levels, Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Level 3 Teaching Assistant, HLTA all desireable.

Organisation, Initiative, English and Maths

The Learning Support Assistant will work closely with teachers to support the educational and social development of students. Duties include assisting with classroom activities, providing one-on-one support to students, helping with lesson planning, and maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Candidates should have a minimum of GCSEs and A Levels, along with qualifications such as Level 2 Teaching Assistant, Level 3 Teaching Assistant, or HLTA. Strong English and Maths skills are essential.

Applicants must have completed relevant education and training programmes, such as teaching assistant courses or similar qualifications.

Prior experience working in an educational setting is desirable, but not essential. Training will be provided to successful candidates.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organisational skills, the ability to show initiative, and proficiency in English and Maths. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also important.

Additional qualifications in special educational needs (SEN) or related fields would be advantageous.

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The Learning Support Assistant will work within a school environment, collaborating with teachers and students to provide support and enhance learning outcomes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
