Summary
Jobstore are working in partnership with our client to recruit HGV drivers to join their leading local waste services organisation based in Bury.
This is a temp to perm position where a long term career is certain for high quality HGV Drivers.
We are looking for Drivers with either Class I RORO Wagon and Drag or Class II REL Rear End Loader experience.
Drivers must have previous waste management experience and have held a licence for a minimum of 3 years - 1 years HGV licence.
Drivers will be required to provide efficient Refuse Collection Service , in a safe and effective manner, managing all recycling collection activities, in all weather conditions.
Duties to include but not limited to:
Undertaking vehicle checks each morning and reporting any defects.
Operating the power loading mechanisms.
Supervising duties and responsible for the crew.
Working as part of a team.
Ensuring that the highest level of customer care is maintained.
To ensure the company's Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
To ensure routes are completed in the most efficient manner.
To drive in a safe and economic manner.
Applicants must;
Hold a Class 1 or 2 HGV Licence (CAT C) a CPC and Digi-Tacho
Knowledge of the current transport regulations
Ability to demonstrate the highest level of professionalism
Polite and friendly manner at all times - good communication and people skills are essential
Ability to drive in all weather conditions
Lead by example
No IN / DR / DG
This is a 40 hour a week position, plus a paid service bonus equivalent to 5 hours work, overtime readily available, and an attendance bonus once in a permanent position. Successful applicants will be joining a fantastic local business with long term career opportunities.
