Hours per week: 35-37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 3 months

City: Glenfield, Leicestershire

Hybrid working

The purpose of the role is to act as the first point of contact for Children’s Social Care and Early Help Service Users, by phone, email, web, fax or post.

Key Responsibilities:

Process a range of referrals received from professionals and members of the public via email and phone.
Be responsible for a range of generic email boxes to process different types of referrals.
Utilise case management systems for inputting and gathering information.
Have an understanding of relevant information required to create new clients on Mosaic.
Input contacts on Mosaic using the information provided from the referral form.
Liaise with other agencies to obtain missing mandatory information required.
Be able to understand and relay information and to review previous involvement with a family.
Be able to send secure emails – CJSM, GCSX, E-gress
Ensure all data is accurate and inputted in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with Social Workers and Team Managers for advice and to be able to take direction.
Communicate effectively with professionals and members of the public on the telephone.
Use a phone script to be able to direct phone calls.
Action information requests and liaise with the records hub to obtain manual files relating to families.

Qualifications:

NVQ2 in Customer Services or equivalent relevant qualification.



Skills & Experience:

Must have experience of communicating with children and young people and their families and professionals from different agencies.
Must have experience of working in stressful environments and within a team.
Must have experience of handling sensitive information and accurate recording.
Must have an understanding of children and their families and their needs including services available.
Must be able to analyse and interpret information.
Must be able to handle sensitive and distressing information.
Must be able to prioritise own workload and work to tight timescales.
Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
