Summary


This is a an exciting opportunity to Band 4 to develop skills in caring for Haematology patients. This post will offer support to the haematology nurse service to ensure smooth, safe and efficient running of the team.

The post will provide the opportunity of direct and indirect patient care with clerical and administrative work under the support and supervision of the specialist nursing service. We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with relevant healthcare experience. Keyboard and computer literacy skills are essential for this role.

The post holder will be expected to support the Haematology nursing service to ensure the smooth, safe and efficient running of the team. As part of the Multi -disciplinary team the post holder will contribute to the efficient seamless service provision with a higher competency level by providing elements of direct and indirect patient care and clerical work. Clinical duties will be required, having first acquired the underpinning knowledge and locally assessed level of competencies to do so.

Duties will be varied and dependent on the support needed on a daily basis, by the nursing staff. The post holder will be expected to facilitate and support care delivery, information giving and communication and coordination.
