Summary


Community and Intermediate Care is a forward thinking and patient focussed clinical division which provides community based and in-patient care to Pennine Lancashire. We already have in-patient facilities in Burnley, Pendle and Clitheroe and are excited to be welcoming Albion Mill in Blackburn into our group. Initially it will be a 13 bedded unit with a vision to expand the bed base in forthcoming years. We have a substantial training programme with a bespoke induction and a range of essential to role courses in addition to sore skills training. We pride ourselves on being a compassionately led team with strong links across all sites in Pennine Lancashire

East Lancashire Hospitals are looking to appoint health care assistants to support them in the delivery of direct care for their patients . We provide Rehabilitation and continuing nursing care for patients within the East Lancashire footprint. We are looking to recruit health care assistants to support us in providing safe personal and effective care.

Interviews 29th February

The successful candidate will work alongside the nursing staff to deliver the care for our patients. The post is a rotational post and staff will be expected to cover nights and weekends.

There will be a full ward induction supported by the team of experienced healthcare assistants on the ward under the guidance of the ward manager; in addition opportunities to develop within the role will be available.

Working for the Intermediate Care Division can be demanding but is extremely rewarding and the wards are well supported by the ward managers and senior teams. You may be the first point of contact for the patient and their families and members of the public so you will need to be confident and smart in appearance

The role of a health care assistant is to be able to provide direct care to a patient and a group of patients . This could be attending to their hygiene needs, nutritional needs and supporting them in their daily activities .
