We are hiring a DOMICILIARY CARE ASSISTANT in Eltham (SE9 & SE3).
DOMICILIARY CARE ASSISTANT DUTIES INCLUDE:
o Assisting with Personal Care and Medications.
o Helping with mobility around the home
o Providing support at mealtimes
o Supporting with Shopping and Domestic Duties
o Liaising with medical professionals
o Advocating for independence and choice
o Report writing and record keeping
WE SPOKE TO OUR CLIENTS AND ASKED THEM WHAT THE ESSENTIAL CRITERIA WAS TO BE A SUCCESSFUL DOMICILIARY CARE ASSISTANT:
o "Someone who wont rush me in the mornings and understands that I am not as fast as them "
o "Someone who understands that just because I am old, it doesnt mean my appearance doesn't matter anymore- I like to look nice"
o "Someone who wants to talk to me, I get lonely - if they can tell the odd joke then thats even better!"
o "Someone who can make a decent cup of tea!"
o "Someone who treats me as their equal- I might be old but I have plenty of life in me yet!"
o "Someone I can trust and respects me and my home"
