Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Temporary Commis Chef to join our client’s kitchen team for a short-term assignment. The ideal candidate will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness, ensuring high standards of hygiene and efficiency are maintained throughout their shifts.
Responsibilities:
Assist in food preparation, including chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
Help with cooking and plating dishes under the supervision of senior chefs.
Ensure all food preparation areas are clean and hygienic at all times.
Follow proper food handling procedures and sanitation guidelines.
Assist in receiving and storing deliveries.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operation during service.
Maintain a positive and professional approach to all tasks.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role.
Knowledge of culinary techniques and principles.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to follow instructions and learn quickly.
Food hygiene certification is desirable but not essential.
