Our dynamic stroke specialist nursing team is now recruiting for two Band 7 senior specialists to take part in our SAT and thrombectomy 24/7 rota.
By joining our friendly team you be asked to demonstrate good leadership skills and role modelling, take part on thorough assessments and initiate treatment plans for acute stroke patients within Stroke Specialist Services. It is also expected to take part on data analysis and hyper acute stroke research.
You will work closely with the multidisciplinary team, optimising patient pathway, coordinating acute stroke beds, taking part of research and carrying out projects to improve the stroke pathways.
We are looking for a permanent post holder (1 full time and 1 part time) who is flexible. Shift work will be required and training will be provided
The post holder is a recognised expert in the specialty, responsible for the day to day management and coordination of the regional thrombectomy service.
Working with stroke lead and consultant nurse to deliver safe and effective pathway and repatriation to and from CUH
A clinical expert in assessing, developing and implementing specialist nursing care in hyperacute stroke, undertaking specialist nursing procedures and implementing evidenced base care
Ensure effective communication across the multi stakeholder groups locally and regionally.
Collaboratively develop standard operating procedures to ensure specialist advice and support of other staff and service users, the wider stroke team, within CUH and across the region.
Provide specialist education and training for staff as required.
Required to undertake clinical audit, service evaluation and participate research in own specialist area and present data within and outside CUH.
