About the role…

Join our team as General Site Manager and be at the forefront of managing the day-to-day operations of our dynamic retail operations site. You will oversee all departments including Yard Operations, Customer Service, Inventory, Administration, Bodyshop, Mechanical and Health & Safety.

Your role will involve ensuring that budgetary, business, and people targets are met while upholding Company and legal standards. Your responsibilities will include leading a culture of continuous improvement, revenue and cost control, ensuring vehicles are processed to a high standard and delivered on time and within cost parameters. Collaborating with other divisions and departments will be key to maximize business opportunities, ensuring safety, wellbeing, and legal compliance, and providing leadership and development opportunities for your team.

Travel may be required for meetings, training courses, and operational needs within the business.

Responsibilities…


Lead a culture of continuous improvement, market leading operational excellence and best in class customer experience
Revenue and cost control
Ensure consistent processing of vehicles to a market leading standard, ensure they are delivered within timeframes specified by the business and within defined cost parameters
Working in collaboration with Business Efficiency, to drive efficiency and process standardisation including use of new technology
Collaborate with other divisions and departments to maximise business opportunities
Ensuring “seamless handover” of virtual assets to Online Operations Team
Accountable for safety, wellbeing and legal compliance
People leadership (inc. coaching, mentoring), self / people development, succession planning, workplace engagement


Who you are….
Essential:


Experience in large scale operations management
Operational Management
Ability to monitor, forecast, budget and identify financial trends so that appropriate corrective action is taken when necessary.
Articulate, with the ability to communicate effectively face-to-face and over the telephone at all levels of the business.
Ability to understand and resolve complex problems at root cause.
People & Team Management experience


Desirable:


Experience of process and continuous improvement systems
A Full UK driving licence as you may be required to move vehicles around site
