We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced and motivated nurse with a demonstrable interest in working with older people with diverse mental health needs.

EPUT offer a fantastic relocation package of up to £8,000. Covering a number of expenditures for new recruits relocating from 30 miles or more from their new work base at EPUT.



The post holder will:
• be responsible for a defined caseload as the Care Coordinator for the assessment and coordination of care needs, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence based nursing care for service users and their carers
• provide professional advice, including health/mental health promotion and support to other agencies and members of the multidisciplinary team, working appropriately with experts and other agencies
• act up for the Team Lead in their absence as appropriate and as a role model and resource for less experienced staff, including providing supervision to others as appropriate
• act as an independent practitioner within a defined community setting, while liaising with other professionals as necessary
• have a working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation, which govern current service provision and audit
• ensure effective communication pathways exist
• be responsible for ensuring the promotion of equality diversity and rights in accordance with good practice and legislation
• be responsible for identifying and contributing to the training needs necessary in providing quality evidence based care as appropriate.

Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

• Be expected to take an active role in co-ordinating the promotion of mental and physical health needs of clients with the Older People CMHT.
• Expected to have a commitment to professional development including experience of a varied caseload and clinical supervision.
• Actively participate in providing a variety of learning opportunities for students, and in training initiatives in general.
