Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 MRI Radiographer to join the Radiology team at the Royal Free Hospital, to cover a 2 year career break. This post would be well suited for an MRI radiographer wishing to develop and expand on their MRI experience.

Education and training are key elements of the department. Full training in MRI will be given, depending upon prior experience.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills, a team and patient centered approach. They should enjoy working collaboratively and aspire to provide the best possible care for our patients at all times, whilst teaching and sharing their knowledge with others.

Previous applicants need not apply.

Royal Free Radiology is currently undergoing a project to redevelop the department. Having recently completed a multimillion pound redevelopment of the A&E department and A&E X-ray services, including an A&E CT scanner, we are currently replacing scanners in MRI, CT and various x-ray rooms. With the completion of this project there will be four Siemens MRI scanners, three 1.5T and one 3T, providing a range of complex services including HPB, Neuro, urology, and vascular imaging.

The post-holder will be working with other Band 6 and 7 MRI and MRI Trained Rotational radiographers and Radiographic Assistants to deliver a 7 day service in the MRI Department at the Royal Free. They will develop specialised knowledge and expertise and produce high quality images to assist in diagnosis and treatment, while demonstrating high standards of care.

The department actively encourages continued professional development (CPD) and opportunities are available for further training and development, in areas such as post graduate study, radiographer reporting and advanced practice.

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is one of the UK’s biggest and most innovative trusts. Across three main hospitals, our dedicated army of staff care for over 1.6million patients, treat more than 200,000 in A&E, deliver over 8,000 babies and carry out more than 17million tests.

Our size, scale and influence offer you unrivalled career opportunities and a forward-thinking approach to working that works around your lifestyle. From flexible hours and generous benefits, to next level training, we make it easier to take your career to the top
