Summary


To support the smooth running of the Boards of Directors and Councils of Governors and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. This one-year fixed term / secondment post offers the flexibility to work either remotely, onsite at one of the trusts’ headquarters or a combination of these.

Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust and Dorset County Hospital are working positively together for the benefit of the Dorset population and have an exciting opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience working with the Board Secretariat.

This is a fixed term role and for those with current NHS service, the role will be offered on a secondment basis only. Please obtain permission to be released on a secondment before submitting an application.

The role requires the post holder to have proven organisational skills and will involve regular interaction with senior staff and members of the Board. The post holder will possess excellent written and verbal communication and negotiating skills and will provide a professional, confidential and high quality administrative and logistical support service to the Trust’s Board of Directors, Board Committees, and Governor meetings, to include agenda production and management, timely production of papers, advanced minute-taking and follow-up of actions as required from the meetings. The post holder will also assist in the establishment, coordination, maintenance, and ongoing development of a range of corporate governance processes and systems, which ensure statutory and regulatory compliance. The post holder will have demonstrable experience working in a secretarial or administrative role; being proficient in MS Excel and Word.
