Summary

We work with young adults with complex additional learning needs and disabilities, teaching them to self-advocate, build skills and find greater independence.

The Vale of Glamorgan will soon see the opening of Garnllywd Barns, the latest provision from Elidyr Communities Trust. This brand new provision promises to redefine care for five individuals with additional learning needs and autism.

At Elidyr Communities Trust, we support young adults with learning difficulties and disabilities to live and learn more independently – creating spaces where individuals thrive and form meaningful connections.

We’re searching for kind, practical people, ideally with experience in a similar environment. You’ll be working with a small group of no more than five residents. You’ll need good communication skills and be able to get stuck-in alongside our residents, helping them with cooking, shopping, hobbies and socialising.

Requirements
We are looking for an exceptional individual to lead our residential house management team at Garnllwyd Barns. As our Assistant House Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in creating an environment where warmth, compassion, and support define daily life.

Proven experience in a leadership role within a care environment.
A warm and compassionate heart that aligns with Elidyr's values.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Understanding of, and commitment to person-centred care.
Relevant qualifications in care and management (QCF Level 3/4 or equivalent).
Dedication to fostering a warm, positive, and inclusive community at Garnllwyd Barns.
Passion for creating a warm, supportive atmosphere for individuals with additional learning needs.
