Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our team.
Rascals Natural Learning is a unique setting in the countryside of Brocklesby Estate, with large and diverse outdoor areas including a 'mini woodland' on site, The Spinney nearby, a pond, orchard, as well as a playground and garden. Inside is spacious, with carefully created areas, often bringing the outdoors, in.
At RNL, we draw on Forest School and Hygge in the Early Years approach to compliment our bespoke curriculum, the majority of which is delivered outside. We are passionate about giving all children high quality learning experiences and opportunities outdoors to enable them to develop a relationship with nature.
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will play a vital role in providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. If you have a love for working with children and are committed to their development, we would love to hear from you.
You will be responsible for a group of Key Children and as part of a wonderful team deliver opportunities for our children.
Duties:
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of children
- Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence
- Observe and assess each child's progress, identifying areas for improvement and providing additional support when needed
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's learning journey
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and progress
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of the children
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an Early Years Educator or in a similar role
- Level 3 minimum in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Knowledge of child development theories and best practices in early childhood education
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with young children
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
