We are looking for an innovative, proactive HR Manager to support our people team ensuring a “People First” approach. The role is
very much a generalist role helping and supporting deliver, the people strategy within the whole people remit.




About Norton Way Group

As a result of our company’s growth, over the last 12 months, across our dealerships based in West London and Hertfordshire,
Norton Way Group now have a new opportunity for a HR Manager with exceptional generalist knowledge to join our People team.

We have a team of over 400 employees across 8 sites, representing 9 industry-leading automotive brands, such as Honda, Kia, MG,
Mazda, Nissan, Peugeot and Vauxhall, as well as an award-winning corporate department.




Within the role you will be responsible for the following:

* Manage and review all ‘people’ systems ensuring they are being utilised to the best of their ability
* Review, monitor and update policies and processes, to ensure best practice and continued improvement
* Support and manage the People Team on a day-to-day basis, ensuring the continued focus on the People Strategy
* Provide support with complex ER casework
* Assist with the delivery of internal training, centred around people responsibilities and expectations
* Act as an internal mentor, supporting with the succession planning and development
* Assist with the development of career path and development plans
* Manage and review all benefits prior to contract renewal, ensuring benchmarking and due diligence prior to renewal
* Provide ongoing support to the Group Head of People, with the People Strategy implementation
* Collate statistics provided by the team, into monthly reports for the Group Head of People
* Maintain your knowledge of trends, best practices and changes in law
* Ad hoc tasks and projects to support with the delivery of the people team strategy



What we need from you:

* Ideally CIPD level 5 qualified or significant experience
* Experience of working in a generalist HR role is imperative
* A positive can-do attitude
* Have a creative and analytical thinking style
* Excellent management and leadership qualities
* Be confident & influential with excellent relationship building skills
* The drive to improve performance and deliver exceptional results
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
* Pro-active approach to problem solving




This role will be based in Letchworth, Hertfordshire. Some travel will be required to support other sites.
