Summary

The Recruitment Co are recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to our client in Appleton Warrington on a permanent basis.

Our client is a distribution business who are going through a period of growth and looking to expand the current warehouse team.

As a warehouse operative you will be responsible for the movement of stock, picking and goods in.

  • Ensuring all stock is handled, stored and packed in a safe working environment.
  • There will be other warehouse duties which may include preparing and dispatching samples for customers, waste removal, cycle stock counts and general ad hoc duties.
  • This is a hands-on role and will involve regular contact with Logistics and Operation Departments.



Salary & Benefits:

Annual Salary - £24,918.40

  • 40 hours per week on days, 8 hours work per day + breaks

Monday to Friday
(start time alternates weekly between 06:00 - 15:00 then 07:30 - 16:30 the following week)

  • 23 days holiday + 8 days BH + "birthday" holiday, company pension + bonus scheme


Main tasks:

  • Pick stock as prioritised in line with dispatch deadlines ensuring maximum customer
  • satisfaction
  • Replenish stock in the aisles to ensure continued picking efficiency's
  • Offloading deliveries and locating in the Warehouse ensuring a high level of stock
  • accuracy
  • Checking and signing for deliveries in line with supplier documentation
  • Highlighting any stock queries and shortages and updating the warehouse log with stock movements
  • Optimise and suggest picking locations within the Warehouse
  • To support in the identification and elimination of waste in all its forms, including loading waste in the appropriate skip ready for disposal
  • Assist in loading stock in a controlled and efficient manner ready for customer delivery
  • Ensure that current and future Health, Safety and Environment policy is adhered to
  • continually support the creation of a centre of excellence culture



Skills / Experience

  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role
  • Good time management skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Physically fit to carry / pack loads for delivery
  • Good level of IT literacy
  • Positive, "can do" and "gets it done" attitude


FLT license would be advantageous although training would be provided for the right
candidate
