Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced English Teacher to join our team. As an English Teacher at our SEMH school, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality education to students with diverse needs and abilities. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the academic and personal development of our students, empowering them to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons that cater to the individual needs and learning styles of SEMH students.
- Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and motivated to learn.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to effectively engage students and promote active participation in lessons.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their ongoing development.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and wellbeing.
- Foster a love for English language and literature among students, inspiring them to become confident and proficient communicators.

Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience teaching English to students with SEMH needs or in a similar SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting (Desirable)
- Strong understanding of SEMH and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to participate in training and workshops relevant to SEMH education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
