Morrison Water Services, part of M Group Services is recruiting for a Ganger to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract. This is a site based role working on projects across Scotland predominately East/West/ Central belt Scotland.
As a Ganger, you will be part of our Operations team. Responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our wastewater and water infrastructure and civil engineering projects.
Morrison Water Services are proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance, successfully and safely working with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21. A six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme. Due to ongoing growth, we have exciting opportunities for experienced Gangers to join our growing Water division!!
As a Ganger your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Lead and direct the site Operatives and works gang in civil engineering works to ensure the safe, efficient and timely delivery of the works
- Ensure progress is maintained, quality levels are achieved and to keep an accurate record of work undertaken including resources, plant and material on site
- Maintain site safety, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental and quality requirements
- Delivery of daily briefing and maintenance of supporting paperwork
- Ensuring valid RAMS, permits etc. are in place and works are provided in line with the plan
Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
Knowledge of water industry civils and utilities works
Ability to manage and support a small team of operatives
CSCS, EUSR and CPCS Registration
Experience of streetworks
NRSWA operative
Water SHEA & National Water Hygiene (ideal but not essential)
