Morrison Water Services, part of M Group Services is currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on our Caledonia Water Alliance contract based in Glasgow.
Morrison Water Services are proud to be a key partner on the Caledonia Water Alliance and will successfully and safely work with Scottish Water to jointly deliver SR21, a six-year water and wastewater infrastructure pan Scotland capital investment programme.
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be part the Commercial Team and will be responsible for carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects of the Capital Delivery Framework. The role will involve working closely with the delivery team delivering both clean and waste infrastructure projects.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for administering the NEC form of contracts, raising early warning notices to the client and subcontractors. You will have a keen eye for detail identifying, notifying and pricing of compensation events.

You will be required to produce or support the production of CVRs and P&L reports. You will also manage subcontractors from tender inquiries to final accounts, review subcontract quotations and be involved in placing subcontract orders.
Experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar level within with a civil engineering or utilities contractor would mean you could excel in this role!

Are you familiar with assessing and paying subcontract applications, preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages?

You will be checking time-sheets and staff allocations for different work packages, agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

Are you a proactive mentor? As part of this role you will be managing and mentoring of junior members of the commercial team, supporting their growth and knowledge.

Do you have working knowledge of the NEC3 suite of contract?

Are you experienced using CEMAR?
Have you gained experience in the Utilities/Rail/Highways sector?
Do you have experience in dealing with high volume and low value work?
Do you have experience working in an Alliance environment with multiple partners including the Client?
