We currently have a exciting opportunity for Healthcare Assistant to join at oleaster Caffra suite picu

Healthcare Assistants provide a key role across our wards and services, providing vital care and support to our service users. Under the guidance of a qualified nurses, our Healthcare Assistants assist in assessments, provide social and therapeutic activities for service users, assist them with daily living activities and ensure the smooth running of the ward. Their contribution to the running of an effective service is crucial and they are a key part of the team.

We expect all our Healthcare Assistants to uphold our Trust values, especially around compassion and dignity and respect. Therefore, we are looking for kind, empathic, caring individuals who have experience of working in a healthcare setting, ideally in mental health services.

We are offering this role with the need to work shifts including weekends, days and nights.

We are looking to recruit dedicated and highly motivated individuals who are passionate about providing and maintaining our high-quality standards and compassionate care to in-patients on the wards in Oleaster. Our service users often experience complex mental ill health and/or personality disorders with dual diagnosis and can often demonstrate challenging behaviour.

Oleaster provides specialist care for service users that often have complex mental health and social care needs and offers support in peoples recovery through holistic treatments, promoting social inclusion, self-management, personal autonomy and independence.

Successful applicants must be able to work in a challenging and dynamic environment and will need to demonstrate a range of skills including effective communication, empathy, self-awareness, and critical self-reflection skills.

You will receive regular supervision and training to support both your personal development and the services objectives; to enable you to deliver not only sound clinical practice but also to support the learning of others within and on placement to the team.
