You'll have the chance to grow your career while inspiring others to deliver the highest standards of patient care We're looking for a Theatre/Endoscopy Senior Nurse join our team to support our developing Endoscopy Unit during the expansion of the service, where you will deliver high quality clinical patient care throughout the Theatre/Endoscopy Unit. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be working closely with leading consultants and using the latest equipment and facilities all within in a highly rated CQC hospital setting. As a Senior Staff Nurse at our Brentwood Hospital, you're registered with the appropriate governing body and you hold the relevant qualifications and experience, including NMC. As well as post-registration experience, you bring knowledge of mentoring and multi-specialty surgical procedures. Ideally, you hold qualifications in teaching and assessment, and management. This role requires a combination of technical expertise and empathetic patient contact. It will give you opportunities to work with state-of-the-art technology on a varied caseload, while giving patients the support and reassurance they need. As a registered practitioner, you will deliver high quality clinical patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care. As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will: Be the patients advocate Provide quality planned care across the endoscopy patient pathway, supporting and assisting the Theatre/Endoscopy Clinical Leads in the management and organisation of care provision Support the team, acting as a role model and provide leadership to junior members of staff and who can manage emergency situations Deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge/skill and encouraging a learning environment Work autonomously conducting assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care Maintain accurate records across all responsibilities Ensure the safe custody, supply and administration of drugs Participate in clinical audit, reviews or reports, complying with all procedures and regulations to ensure the safe practice of the unit and take appropriate actions Lead by example and be an ambassador for the Nuffield Health way of caring Recognise talent and nurture junior colleagues, mentoring them to be the best they can be Use your excellent clinical skills and empathetic approach to meet each patient's needs Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care Provide day-to-day supervision, including clinical supervision of junior nursing staff and students Contribute to scheduling and rotas, recruitment, induction, performance reviews and training Helping you feel good.
